The Chamber Board met September 6, 2007, at 7:30 A.M. at the VFW building.

WEB SITE: Several members have contacted me about linking their website. Let us know if this needs to be done for your business. Danny Ferguson has added pictures of Adrian Main Street as it looked July 4, 2007. Pictures of Vision 2007 process, the MO DOT renovation to Main Street, beginning in July will be added. If you have pictures of Adrian’s past businesses please get us a copy. They can be left at the Adrian Journal or the Chamber office.

WELCOME BAGS: Well done members! We had a good response to our call for items for the Welcome bags. They have been filled and distributed. This is a good way to promote your business with newcomers to Adrian.

SIGN: The Chamber sign has been placed at Pike’s building across from Jump Stop. It is a great benefit to the Chamber and Adrian residents in that it is a visual reminder of Chamber and community events. Check out the sign for upcoming events!!

CUP SALES: We have these available at the Adrian Bank, Harla’s Salon, Kreisler’s Floral, Head Over Heels Salon and the American National Insurance office (Chamber Office Location). I find friends and family who have ties to Adrian love these as a gift.

BAT: Thanks to Del’s Appliance for hosting the AUGUST BAT. Breakfast casserole was served along with juice, fruit and coffee! It was delicious. Good food and good friends made for a pleasant start to our day. If you would like to host a BAT, please let us know. The Chamber phone number is 297-0004, or e-mail me. OCTOBER BAT needs a sponsor. Would you like to volunteer?

NOVEMBER BAT will be hosted by the VFW at their building on Main Street November 9th.

QUARTERLY LUNCHEON: The Luncheon had to be changed to September 14th at Wimfields on Main from 12:00 to 1:00. PLEASE ATTEND as we have some important upcoming events to discuss.

HIGHLIGHTS: August Highlights was American National Insurance. Hope you saw the article. Chamber Highlights was started in the last quarter of 2004 and has been continued through 2007. This means we have only gotten to highlight 34 businesses so far. We are trying to get every business highlighted. Our membership is more than twice this number so it will take some time to get to everyone.

CHAMBER BUCKS: Remember to give Chamber Bucks as gifts to friends, employees and family. This must be spent at Chamber businesses. As of July1st 2007 $9981.00 in Chamber Gift Certificates has been cashed.

VISION 2007: Can you believe that the asphalt is going on? I didn’t get uptown today but things are really progressing at a fast pace. This is going to be completed before we know it. Things are moving right along and changes are happening daily. Remember Main Street back doors are marked and open for the public.
