The Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors met Thursday Sept 5th 2008 at 7:30 at the VFW Building.
Membership Dues: Dues are still $35.00 and may be paid at the Chamber Office or
mailed to the Chamber of Commerce @ PO Box 303.
Bat: Our next BAT will be held at the Office of Associates in Family Care Friday September 12th at 7:30 am. Please plan on attending and welcoming them to the community.
We will have our last quarterly BAT in October. Let us know if you have any ideas for a program. Remember if you want to host a monthly BAT meeting , just let us know. This is a great opportunity to get together with other members. Remember: Monthly BATS are held the second Friday of each month.
Highlights: Our September Highlighted business will be Bates County Health Center. Let us know if you haven’t been highlighted or would like to be highlighted again.
Chamber Cups: Our 2008 Collectible cups are still on sale. They may be purchased at several locations for $5.00 each. They make great affordable gifts, and look great with flowers in them. We still have a few cups left from past years, for those that are missing some. The board is discussing whether to continue our CUP program or starting something new. Let us know your thoughts!!!!!
Farmer’s Market: Your Chamber of Commerce’s Farmer’s Market began on Saturday July 26th . Our number of vendors has increased each Saturday. The Farmer’s Market is held each Saturday beginning at 7:00am located north of Old 71 Café. We anticipate operating the Farmer’s Market each year the months April thru November. What a successful event so far !!

Welcome Bags: Thanks Patsy for filling and delivering the Welcome Bags for our new teachers and Administrators. She gave out 10 Welcome Bags.
