The Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors met Nov 6th 2008 at 7:30 at the VFW Building.
Membership Dues: Dues are still $35.00 and may be paid at the Chamber Office or
mailed to the Chamber of Commerce @ PO Box 303. Dues paid in the last quarter of 2008 will apply to 2009 dues.
BAT: Our next BAT is Friday, Nov. 14th at Randy & Patricia Pike’s newly remodeled office bldg. at the intersection of McColloh & 18 Hwy ( YES THIS FRIDAY ). It’s located east of the Citizens Bank. If you would like to host a BAT please contact the Chamber Office. (There are still many who haven’t taken the opportunity to host a BAT. There will be no Bat in Dec.
Highlights: Our Nov. Highlighted business will be Peculiar Chiropractic & Acupuncture. If your business haven’t been highlighted or would like to be highlighted again, please let us know.
Chamber Cups: Our 2008 Collectible cups are still on sale. They may be purchased at several locations for $5.00 each. They make great affordable gifts, and look great with flowers in them. We still have a few cups left from past years, for those that are missing some. The board has decided to ask Adrian R-3 art students to help design a new cup imprint
for an ongoing non-dated cup. We may still create a 2009 cup in smaller supply.
Farmer’s Market: The Farmer’s Market is held each Saturday beginning at 7:00 am located north of Old 71 Café. The Farmer’s Market will continue through the end of November.
Website: The Chamber Website is www.adrianmochamber.com. Let us know if you would like to see something new or if you would like to link your website to the Chambers. (At No Charge). Let Elbert know of any changes or additions.
Sight and Safety: This event was truly a success. We had at least 670 kids come through. Thanks Pasty & Morris for your help.
Chamber Sign: We are looking for a member who would be willing to help keep our Chamber Sign updated. Please let me know. (Call Chamber Office)
Turkey Drawing: The 10 turkey giveaway will be held on November 22nd. All businesses
who wants to participate need to place their drawing box out by Monday Nov. 2nd they need to be brought to the Chamber Office by 5:00pm on the 21st . If you need your box to be picked up, call us at the Chamber Office to make arrangements. The Adrian Journal can provide you with a box if you need one.
2009 Board Members: We need members to consider serving on the 2009 Chamber Board of Directors. Let any board member know of your interest. This can be a very rewarding experience.
