WEB SITE: Check out the website!

CUP SALES:
There are still 2006 cups. The 2007 cup design is being completed and ordered. Keep them in mind for stocking stuffers or to fill with candy etc.

BAT: October BAT was held at Willow Creek Group Home new location on Main Street. We had a great turn out. We changed the time to 7:30 a.m. Let us know how that worked for you. The November BAT will be hosted by the VFW on November 10 at their building on West Main. Coffee will be ready by 7:00. I am sure many will visit until well after 8:00 so come by at your convenience. If you would like to host a BAT please let us know. The Chamber phone number is 297-0004.

CHAMBER LUNCHEON: The quarterly luncheon is scheduled for Friday, December 1st at Wimfields on Main from 12:00 to 1:00. The menu will remain 1 trip salad bar and drink for $5.00. This includes tip. Please RSVP to Patsy Lemon or the Chamber office by November 29th, so we can give the restaurant a count. Please put this on your calendar. We will not have a speaker but will have an open discussion as to what you feel would be worthwhile goals for the Chamber in 2007.

Some of our past activities are as follows:

We have a professionally done website. You can have us link your business web site to it. Chamber bucks can be purchased at both banks and can only be spent with member businesses. This has resulted in $8431.00 of Chamber bucks cashed in Adrian. The Chamber was instrumental in creating the library in 2005-2006. We continue to have a business highlighted in the Adrian Journal. We have a Business About Town (BAT) every month where business owners and employees can come together. We put out Welcome to Adrian Bags, where you can place your promo materials, to new residents moving to Adrian and to new teachers. We have added window Chamber Stickers for each member business to display. We sponsor the City Wide Garage Sale and participate in the 4th of July parade. We donated $50.00 in chamber bucks to Summer School and re-established the Quarterly luncheon. The Annual banquet is held in March. The Chamber members participate in Sight and Safety night by setting up on Main Street and giving candy to over 500 people. November is the month for the 10 Turkey Give Away and we sponsor the Residential Christmas light contest in December. We send out a monthly newsletter. Remember this is all done by volunteers who believe in the Chamber.

LONG RANGE GOALS: to consider: Fall Blue Grass/Gospel Music Festival and Craft Show or an Antique Car Show. Set up a public senior center where seniors can gather for coffee, pot luck lunch, computer classes, games, and crafts etc. What can we do to help bring business to Adrian and make Adrian an even more desirable place to live? We need your input as to what you feel is worthwhile to continue and what to change or add for 2007. We all have to eat lunch so let’s get together December 1st.

THANKS to those who donated to the candy purchased for the Chamber booth at Sight and Safety night: Rudy’s, Steve Hubbard, John Golladay, Curtis Reynolds, Adrian Journal, Don Durbin, David Framers, Paul Burhart, Ethan’s Auto, Adrian Plumbing, Don Arndt, MoJo Car Wash, Adrian Bank, PJ and Lori Haskins, Wendy Bradley, Harla’s, Kreisler’s Drug, and American Family Insurance.
