The Chamber board met June 1, 2006 7:30 A.M. at the VFW building.
WEB SITE: Danny Ferguson is maintaining the website. Changes must go through the board. Patsy Lemon will be the contact if members want additions to events etc. Please notify us if there is a change in your organization’s contact person.
LIBRARY: The library participated in the City wide garage sale. They continue to depend on donations and fund raisers to meet costs.
CUP SALES: Remember every 2006 cup sale means a $2.00 donation to the Library. Be sure to get yours. Stop by the Journal, The Adrian Bank and the Chamber office to pick up yours. Cost is $8.00 per cup.
BAT: May Business About Town was held at Deer Creek Lake May 19th hosted by Morris and Patsy Lemon RE/MAX Consultants. Around 40 members and guests attended. The June Business About Town will be held at the Library on Main Street on June 16th. Put this on your calendar. This is your opportunity to visit the new library. July BAT will be held at Del’s Adrian Appliance on July 14th. We will have a visitor from the School Board who can answer questions about the School Bond. August BAT will be hosted by Hubbard Construction and Don Arndt August 18th. If you would like to host a BAT please let us know. The Chamber phone number is 297-2004.
CHAMBER LUNCHEON: The Chamber board plans to reinstate the Chamber Luncheon. The first of these will be in September. Members can learn about Chamber plans and goals and give input as to how the Chamber can promote business in Adrian. Watch your newsletter for place and time.
4th OF JULY PARADE: Plans are in the making for an entry in the parade representing the Chamber.
ADRIAN: We are excited to welcome Oates Heating and Cooling. Many businesses continue to make improvements to their buildings. Things are looking good. On another note, the veterans and cemetery board are to be complemented for the wonderful job done Memorial weekend. We have a wonderful community!
CHAMBER BUCKS: Over the past few years $8046.00 in chamber bucks has been spent with Adrian businesses. Give them for gifts or prizes. Remember this money stays in Adrian.
NEW RESIDENT WELCOME BAGS: We are in need of a new supply of items from your business to continue this project. Please drop items off at the Chamber office located on Main Street at the American National Insurance office.
