The Chamber board met August 3, 2006, at 7:30 A.M. at the VFW building.

CUP SALES: There are still 2006 cups. They are great to give as gifts filled with candy etc. Remember $2.00 of each 2006 cup sale goes to the Adrian Community Library. They have no source of funding except donations and fundraisers. New cups are being created for 2007 and will be out in time for Christmas.
BAT: July BAT was held at Del’s Adrian Appliance on July 14th. We had a visitor from the School Board who answered questions about the School Bond. August BAT will be hosted by Hubbard Construction and Don Arndt at their new location on the south side of Main Street August 18th from 7:00 to 8:15 a.m.. A host is needed for the October BAT. If you would like to host a BAT please let us know. The Chamber phone number is 297-0004.
CHAMBER LUNCHEON: The quarterly luncheon is scheduled for September 15th at Wimfields on Main from 12:00 to 1:00. MoDOT will be there to give the program and answer questions. Grilled Chicken Salad will be served. Please RSVP to Patsy Lemon or the Chamber office by September 1st so we can give the restaurant a count. Cost will be around $5.75 plus drink and tip. Please put this on your calendar. RSVP to patsylemon@sbcglobal.net or chamber office 297-0004. We hope to see everyone there!
CHAMBER BUCKS: Over the past few years $8161.00 in Chamber bucks has been spent with Adrian businesses. Give them for gifts or prizes. They can be bought at either Adrian or Citizen’s Banks. They must then be redeemed at an Adrian Chamber business and can’t be cashed out. Remember this money stays in Adrian.
NEW TEACHER WELCOME BAGS: We are in need of a new supply of items from your business to continue this project. We have some note pads, pens, Bates County maps, pizza coupons and business magnets. Any item you wish to give is appreciated. If you don’t have business related items a candy bar with your business info printed and attached would be great. We need around 15 items. Please drop items off at the Chamber office located on Main Street at the American National Insurance office. This is to help promote your business.
