The Chamber board met July 5, 2007, at 7:30 A.M. at the VFW building.

WEB SITE: Remember you can have your website linked to the Chamber Website. Let us know if this needs to be done for your business. Danny Ferguson has added pictures of Adrian Main Street as it looked July 4, 2007. Pictures of Vision 2007 process, the MO DOT renovation to Main Street, beginning in July will be added. If you have pictures of Adrian’s past businesses please get us a copy. They can be left at the Adrian Journal, the Chamber office or e-mailed to me.

WELCOME BAGS: New Teacher Bags need to be prepared to be distributed by August 27, 2007. We need items to be included such as pens, note pads, candy, gum, gift certificates, sticky notes, stickers, nail files, key rings, desk calendars, etc. Any item a teacher could enjoy as they start their 1st year in Adrian. Please drop off 20 items at the Chamber office located at the American National Insurance office on Main Street. We need these items by August 25. The Welcome to Adrian Bags are put out through the year to all new residents in town and those with rural Adrian addresses. If you have extra items to include in these bags, please leave them at the Chamber office. We are running very low and will not be able to continue this project with out your participation. This is a way to promote your business to newcomers.

SIGN: The Chamber sign is in and has been placed at Pike’s building across from Jump Stop. Check it as you drive by for reminders of Chamber and community events. It is to be used to advertise special events and for the Chamber to use to remind members of the BAT, Luncheons, and other Chamber related events. This sign is not to be available to the public! It is for Chamber Membership use and is not to compete with businesses who rent signs.

CUP SALES: We have these available at the Adrian Bank, Harla’s Salon, Kreisler’s Floral, Head Over Heels Salon and the American National Insurance office (Chamber Office Location). The 2007 cup makes a great gift. Fill it with candy, etc. and give it to a friend.

BAT: The BAT for June was held at Adrian City Hall. The crowd was great. Representatives for the Main Street improvement project were there to inform members as to the process that would take place in the coming months. If you would like to host a BAT please let us know. The Chamber phone number is 297-0004 Thanks to Mark Lovelace and the City Council for hosting the Chamber BAT in July. AUGUST BAT will be held at Dell’s Appliance on August 17. Don’t miss it.

HIGHLIGHTS: Some changes had to be made in the HIGHLIGHTS schedule. Computers 4 You was the June Highlight business. We are so fortunate to have such a business located in Adrian. July Highlight will be Head Over Heels. Watch for the article in the Adrian Journal. We want to thank Kreisler Floral for donating the flower arrangements given to the highlighted businesses. CHAMBER BUCKS: Remember to give Chamber Bucks as gifts to friends, employees and family. This must be spent at Chamber businesses. As of June 1st 2007 $9946.00 in Chamber Gift Certificates has been cashed.

VISION 2007: I am sure you are as excited as I am about this. Main Street renovation is well under way.
