The Chamber board met April 6, 2006 at the VFW building.

WEB SITE: Danny Ferguson presented a plan for the website. It has been maintained by volunteer members since it was created. The board decided to employ Danny to take over the website. However all changes must go through the board. Patsy Lemon will be the contact if members want additions to events etc. This transfer will be completed in about a month.

LIBRARY: We are all excited to see the library open for business. The fund raiser potato bar was delicious. Hope you all attended. The library board will be participating in the City Wide Garage Sale. They will take donations of any items except clothing. Contact Patti Bruto or Ruth Ann Ferguson for more information.

CUP SALES: Remember every 2005 cup sale means a $2.00 donation to the Library. Be sure to get yours. Stop by the Journal or the Chamber office to pick up yours. Cost is $8.00 per cup. These have been fun to collect. Some years are gone. Don’t miss out.

CITY WIDE GARAGE SALE: The date has been set for June 3rd.

BAT: April BAT will be at Ethan’s Auto Repair April 21 from 7:00 to 8:15. Come out and encourage this new business owner. Hope to see all of you there. May BAT will be held at Deer Creek Lake May 19th hosted by Morris and Patsy Lemon RE/MAX Consultants. If you would like to host a BAT please let us know. The chamber phone number is 297-2004. We do not have a host for June.

APRIL HIGHLIGHT: Is the Optimist Club. They are chamber members and a great source of support for Adrian. Check the Journal for their story.

FORTH OF JULY PARADE: We are beginning to think of an entry for the parade. We welcome member input and participation. Please let us know if you have an idea for an entry.

DOWNTOWN ADRIAN: We are excited to see 4 vacant buildings on main street beginning renovation. An updated look and new business brings life to the down town business area. Hip hip hurrah. If you have suggestions on how the Chamber can better support your business or the business community in general, please let a board member know.

NEW RESIDENT WELCOME BAGS: It is time to fill the Chamber bags for new residents of our community. If you have something you would want included, please contact Patsy Lemon at 297-2438.

BANQUET: This was a great evening. We had good food, and good fun. Put it on your calendar for next March.
